Multiple Easter Sunday attacks on Churches and some hotels around Sri Lanka have brought grief and great sorrow leaving around 350 dead and more than 500 injured. Both the Holy Father and His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, expressed their closeness to the affected Christian communities and lamented over these victims.
It is indeed a sad period for all the Catholics around the world and for the entire humanity. The tragedy has left us all in a state of shock, devastation and disbelief. Whilst we mourn with the victims, there has been a significant outpouring of support from all around the world with prayers and love and wanting to find out ways and means to help the affected in the aftermath of this horrific attack.
In order to have a coordinated program in the relief efforts, there are accounts that have been opened to support the victims of the affected areas and parishes.
