Rev. Fr. Siri Cooray, the Principal of St. Peter's College Branch School, Gampaha & Udugampola, was called to Eternal Rest in the Lord today, 28th Aug.2010, at the Priests' residence at Udugampola School. |
His mortal remains were brought to St. Peter's College Branch School, Udugampola on Sunday at 8.00 a.m.and then on Monday the 30th August, his remains were transferred to St. Peter's College, Bambalapitiya.
His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksha, His Excellency the Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Joseph Spiteri and several other Ministers and MPs, College Academic stass, students, parents and old boys paid their last respects to Rev. Fr. Siri Cooray at the College Chapel.
Rev. Fr. Travis Gabriel the Rector of the College, presided at the Requiem Mass held at the College Chapel together withe Rev. Fathers in the College and other Fathers present. After the Prayer Service at the Chapel, his moratl remains were taken to St. Joseph's Church, Uyana for the funeral Mass and the burial at Uyana Catholic cemetery, in Moratuwa Parish.
His Grace the Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Malcolm Ranjith will preside at the Requiem Mass at 3.00 p.m. |
